About ʾAhlu-l-Ḥadīth
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ʾAhlu-l-Ḥadīth is a free, non-commercial digital library for the study of Islamic creed, law, and ḥadīth. We publish material for both introductory and advanced reading.
Entries are prepared conservatively: quotations and references are preserved as supplied, source scans are attached where available, and incomplete references are not reconstructed.
The project stands upon the methodology of the ʾImām of ʾAhlu-l-Ḥadīth, ʾAbū ʿAbdullāh Mālik ibn ʾAnas al-ʾAṣbaḥī رحمه الله تعالى, and upon the creedal articulation of ʾAbū-l-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn ʾIsmāʿīl al-ʾAs͟hʿarī رحمه الله, preserving the transmitted tradition while safeguarding the transcendence of Allāh عز وجل.
The project was founded and is overseen by Sayf al-Dīn ibn ʿAlī al-Miknāsī, a Maghribī student of knowledge. Contributors prepare and maintain material across the library.
Contributors:
May Allāh preserve them, reward them abundantly for their service to the dīn, place barakah in their knowledge and efforts, and make their work sincere solely for His noble Face. May He guide those who sincerely seek ʾIslām to the truth, grant them firmness upon it, and increase them in beneficial knowledge and righteous action.
May He grant mercy and the highest ranks to those who are martyred in His path, accept them among the righteous, and reunite them with the prophets, the truthful, and the pious.
